Family and Friends of Woodside UMC,

Shalom,

Thank you for inviting me to be part of both your history and future at Woodside UMC. I believe that Woodside can and will be one of the churches in our Conference to show how hospitality and outreach work to share the “Good News” through your ministries to the community and beyond.

 

Together we will share many things, however, let us listen to Paul in 1 Corinthians 13:13 “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” Using these three thoughts as our guide we will be able to discover ways to reach out to God’s children (don’t forget we are God’s children too) and by sharing these words in all we do and say, we will be sharing the “Good News”. 

Wherever our journey together takes us, we will find just how these three thoughts of Paul will both help us to grow and to fulfill the “Great Commission” in Matthew 28:19-20, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the

very end of the age.”

 

Together as the “Body of Christ” and with the assurance in the last sentence above (“and surely I am with you…”) we cannot fail to be what Jesus wants. Let’s be Faith-Builders, Hope-Growers, and Love-spreaders for Jesus Christ our Lord!

Church Service

 

Traditional Church Service @ 8:30 AM in-person or virtually via Facebook. Church is open with social distancing guidelines in place. 

Please wear a mask if not fully vaccinated.

 

Contemporary Church Service @ 10:30 AM in-person or virtually via Facebook.  Social distancing guidelines in place.  Please wear a mask if not fully vaccinated.

 

 

Church Happenings

 

Adult Sunday School – The adult Sunday School class is Sunday at 9:30 AM. 

 

CWWC Meetings – The CWWC Meet the first Saturday of every month at 10 A.M. 

 

Church Mice – The Church Mice will now hold meetings the first Wednesday of each month at 9:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall.

 

Sew & Sow – Sew and Sow is from  6:30-8:00 PM. The Sow and Sew ministry meets to work on and learn handcrafts such as sewing, needlepoint, knitting & crocheting.

 

Mission Meeting – The next mission meeting will take place on   July 12th at 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall.

 

Ugli Quilters – The Ugli Quilters are done for the summer and will start back up in September. They are in need of queen size blankets and old towels. A bin will be in the narthex for the blankets and towels.
