Fall is here and so is the COVID-19 pandemic. 2020 has not been the year of clearer vision as many expected. But I do believe it has been a year for all of us to focus/re-focus on our relationship with God and with each other. I truly believe God is trying to tell us to put aside our differences with each other and place Jesus back at the center of our being. Jesus said in Matthew 19:26, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
I am so proud and thankful to those who continued to worship with us via Facebook LIVE and to those who came back to church starting in July. It just proves that no matter what this world or Satan tries to do to shut the church down, God’s power always prevails. Even though the virus caused us all to quarantine for a lengthy period, God showed us new ways to reach out and gather (virtually) to continually be fed God’s word. I encourage those who have decided to remain home even today to continue to do so as you feel led by the Holy Spirit. There is no rush to return to the church sanctuary for worship but please continue to join us via the Internet each Sunday morning. We will continue to move forward in making our worship experience as personable and LIVE as possible by adding new technology to the production without diminishing or interrupting the in-church service.
Please continue to follow all the requirements set forth by the government regarding the virus so we can quickly get through this mess and get on with the new normal. Best wishes to all the schools (students, teachers, bus drivers, and administrators) as they return to school in whatever forms each district has decided upon. May they remain safe, conscientious of others, and let them use common sense when it comes to the safety of everyone. Please wear your mask when out in public.
God bless you all in the name of Jesus Christ, Pastor Mark
