Hello brothers- and sisters-in-Christ,
HAPPY NEW YEAR! I pray everyone’s Christmas holiday was joyful and filled the glory of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I thank everyone who attended our Christmas Eve service. It was truly a blessed event as the church was nearly filled will God’s children and was filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit.
2019 was a wonderful year for Woodside as all 4 of our dinners were successful. The word is really getting out about the good food that is being served (thank you cooks) and great fellowship that takes place during each event. We created a new Mission Team to handle the distribution of funds needed by people and organizations in the area that are having difficulties meeting their budgets. It is a blessing to be able to help them as the Lord leads us to do. Especially those brothers and sisters right in our own congregation. I am already looking forward to the spaghetti dinner in February.
We also had some major renovations in the church itself as we had the carpet in the sanctuary replaced as well as the large front window reframed and resealed to fix a major water leak that was causing structural damage to the wall and floor area. We also had the roof of the church shingled and the steeple repaired. Thanks to all the work of the trustees for handling these projects.
I look forward to this new year and what God has planned for our little church and how we are to be disciples of Jesus to bring others into God’s kingdom. Blessings to all of you and thank you for another wonderfully God-filled year,
